Two days after Badminton we had a 'back to the real world' day at Aston le Walls with five Intermediate horses in the pouring rain. They all ran well but it was purely a preparatory run f...

The season started with a bang with most of the yard running at Tweseldown.  History has taught us that some of the early events are likely to fall victim to the weather so we hedged our bets by entering most of the yard for the first two events.

Having been a big advocate of weighing my horses for the past five years, I'm delighted to have officically teamed up with Horse Weigh as a brand ambassador.  The data from regularly weighing each horse enables me to pre-empt rather than react to weight fluctuations. This consistency is important for the horses' performances.  ...

I always prioritise Tattersalls for my CCI* and ** horses’ Spring target.  Ian Stark’s courses are always educational, sending horses home more experienced than when they arrived, and the event is extremely well run with a positive and welcoming feel. It’s a great place...

Belton was the first big event this season to run from start to finish and the team at Bede put on a superb show.  The ground in most places was fantastic over the weekend and dried up in the nick of time.  Being one of the biggest Spring one day events Belton has always hosted large and high callibre entries with good and challenging courses but over the ...

With over 20 events having been cancelled in full and many more abandoned part way through the weather has been a plague for event organisers this year. We’re hugely grateful for the events that have managed to run and to the organisers and their teams who have put in so much hard work and are left with a quagmire in the aftermath.
