Chepstow winner

Having won the 4 year old Burghley Young Event Horse class at Chepstow with Mister Optimistic in 2013, it was brilliant to return this year and for him to win it again!  He scored top marks for dressage, confirmation and type and won by a good margin, and is once again qualified for the final at Burghley in September.  It was a huge and competive class so we were delighted with him and for his owners Christopher Sporborg and James and Carol Stanford.  

We returned on Saturday in terrential rain with Vrolijk, Tall Story and Running Order.  They all performed well in the dressage scoring 26, 27 and 29 but by the time we got into the show jumping the ground was deep and sticky.  We decided not to run Tall Story but Vrolijk and Running Order ran quietly to finish 6th and 9th.
