Stonar Horse Trials
A good day at Stonar today with three good dressage tests and two double clears, not to mention an unfortunate few stitches in my chin! The day started well with a leading dressage score of 23.8 from A Modern Duchess in the Novice. Unfortunately she tripped on take off in the showjumping and threw her head up, splitting open my chin which was followed by a rather long session in the ambulance, causing her to miss her cross country. Easter Fable, lying 2nd after the dressage, jumped a lovely double clear. Sadly 4 time faults cost him the winning position but he finished well in 3rd place. It is great to have the 5 year old Sky Dancer out competing now, and he is an exciting horse for the future. He did relaxed test to score 32 and jumped a double clear and giving me a great feel cross country.
