A win at Stonar

It was great for five year old Away Cruising to get a first win under his belt and he didn't put a foot wrong in the BE100 at Stonar where he finished on his dressage score of 27 having jumped a lovely double clear.  He is great in all three phases and we are looking forward to stepping him up to Novice later in the season.  It was Harry's first event on Donnerstorm II and he produced a lovely dressage test to score 25.5. Unfortunately he lost a shoe in the show jumping and had just one pole down.  The farrier managed to get the shoe back on in time to for him to give Harry a super clear round across country and he finished in 7th place.   Zebedee was having his first Novice outing and we were all pleased with the way he worked in the dressage, showing improvement all the time.  Annoyingly he had a very uncharacteristic two fences down in the show jumping having not had a fence down since his first event at the start of last season but the cross country certainly caused him no trouble and he gave Harry a confident ride.

Off to Barbury tomorrow for the CIC** with Tinkas Time.
