2010
In 2010 Midnight Dazzler retired at the respectable old age of 20. He and Harry had been one of the most consistent partnerships at CCI**** during the previous 5 seasons. In a recent article (see recent news) Midnight Dazzler's retirement was described as “the end of one of the greatest cross-country partnerships the sport has seen in recent times”. ‘Bobby’ is enjoying his retirement at home with his owner-breeder Carolyn Lissack, and is being ridden by her daughter, Lucy.
However, 2010 was in some was the start of a new era with the next generation of horses coming into their own. Several horses that Harry’s produced from youngsters had a successful first season at advanced level, which included top ten placings at various 3* events.
On a broader note, the combined efforts of all Harry’s horses competing at all levels in 2010 produced an unprecedented 49 clear rounds from 50 cross-country starts. With an exciting string of horses moving up the ranks we’re looking forward to the 2011 season.
Harry has been a member of the World Class development programme since Decemeber 2008, and at the end of last season he was reselected for a further 2 years, to the end of 2012.
Oh, and during the winter there was another excitement as Harry and Rosie got married!
