Midnight Dazzler

I had the most wonderful day yesterday riding Midnight Dazzler around a 22 fence cross country course at Kilmington where he was bred and where he has retired to.  His owner, Carolyn Lissack, kindly invited me to lead a cross country ride around their farm which was the site of a 2* event.  I hadn't ridden him for 18 months and he will be 22 next week, but he looked and felt amazing and the feel he gave me over each fence has left me on a high for Christmas!  He still felt every bit like a horse preparing for Badminton... Sadly I think he has a few too many grey hairs!  

Midnight Dazzler completed five Badmintons and four Burghleys and finished in the top ten at both events with Harry.  He retired from top level aged 20 and has since been competing at Open BE100 and Open Novice with Richard and Carolyn Lissack's daughter Lucy.
