Aston le Walls

It was a couple of very long and busy days for Harry and his team at Aston le Walls but great to be out competing and particularly to get the much needed advanced runs. The team at Aston did a fantastic job to make it happen despite persistent rain on Friday and a sea of mud. Four out of five of the horses jumped double clears and we were particularly pleased with Wild Lone and Tinkas Time who both did very competitive dressage tests and faultless jumping rounds in the Advanced.  Zebedee suffered from Harry's outdated understanding of the rules(!) on crossing of tracks and was given a technical 20 penalties when he took the long route at the first water even though he jumped a lovely clear round! The novice horses all tried hard but struggled a little in the mud during their dressage tests but was an excellent schooling outing for all. Thank goodness the sun is now shining and hopefully summer is here at last!
