British Equestrian Sports Writers Association Awards

Harry has been voted the Leading Rider of 2014 by the British Equestrian Writers' Association - the body that represents the media in equestrian sport.

Made up of journalists, photographers and broadcasters, the 200 members vote annually for their outstanding horse, rider and journalist of the year and the awards are presented at the Association's annual lunch and awards ceremony during Olympia in central London.

Valegro picked up the award for Horse of the Year and Clare Balding for Journalist of the Year. Previous winners of the main award, the BEWA Trophy to the Rider of the Year, have included Ben Maher, Charlotte Dujardin, William Fox-Pitt, Carl Hester, Mary King, John Whitaker and Pippa Funnell.
