Aston le Walls

It was a quick turn around after Aachen, as having arrived back home at 4.30am we set off for Aston with three Intermediate horses at 8am!  Despite a slight shortage of sleep, they all put in solid performances in all three phases with Away Cruising (Spot) and Vrolijk (Dude) at the tops of their sections after the dressage, both scoring 29 and Shannondale Santiago (Stan) wasn't far behind in his OI section with a penatly score of 30.  Stan and Spot both jumped lovely double clears and Dude was unlucky to roll one pole as he jumped superbly but gave me a great ride cross country. I gave them all a steady runs but it was nice to see that Spot and Dude could both have won had they run quickly!
