Hambleden

We had a great Easter weekend with three horses running at Hambledon in the Novice.

Running Order did a good test of 28 and a jumped a solid double clear.  Tall Story scored 35, which was a bit conservative for him but he was the first to go of the day, and backed this up with his usual double clear.  Anne Chapman's Vrolijk bettered last week's dressage mark of 24 with a great test to score 21, and like the others also jumped a double clear to win. He has been very consistant, we've done seven events so far together and he's always been placed in the top 5.

Hambledon is a very friendly event. The course is beautifully built and each fence is a real work of art, all set in a sea of blue-bells. We had a really fun day with a big gang of owners and friends enjoying an amazing picnic by the lorry, thanks to Monika Hunt (who was one of the founding members of the Event Horse Owners Association). It was great to see everyone having such a good time, my lorry became a big drinks party but that is what eventing is all about!
