JCB Champions Challenge Barbury

We finished our Barbury with a bit of fun in the JCB Champions Challenge - a relay in the main arena on borrowed hunt horses, the final of which was Eventer Riders versus Jockeys with the teams consisting of Mark Todd, Andrew Nicholson, Tina Cook and me against AP McCoy, Richard Johnson, Sam Twiston-Davis and Wayne Hutchinson.  I was the fourth member of our team to go and set off fractionally behind Richard Johnson, we turned the last corrner into the water and I had to do something to get ahead but somehow we had swapped onto each other's sides.  A polo style ride off put me ahead and I managed to get a flyer at the last to win the race.  It turned out the the Eventers won on time but the Jockeys won on leaving more fences standing - rather ironic!  There was a fantastic crowd there supporting and what an entertaining and brilliant fund raiser for the Injured Jockeys Fund.
