Tweseldown Horse Trials
1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th at Tweseldown! Today was one of the most enjoyable days eventing I've had in a long time. All four horses did really pleasing tests with Tall Story and Easter Fable both scoring 31, Maybee 30, and Tinkas Time 27. All four jumped lovely clear rounds in show jumping and never looked like having a fence down. They all then gave me very confident and convincing rounds across country. Tall Story finished 1st, Maybee 2nd (albeit HC), Easter Fable 3rd and Tinkas Time 4th.
Very satisfying, everyone in the team has been working really hard and it's so nice when the results reflect the progress made in training.
It was a lovely summers day and Jan and Peter Price (owners of Tall Story and Easter Fable) produced a delicious picnic. Karen, Beth and I left the yard at 4.30 this morning so were very appreciative! Nigella Hall, owner of Tinkas Time, and Robert and Ki Hayman Joyce were also there supporting Maybee. Philippa Bates, who owns a 5 year old with me called Zebedee, was the collecting ring steward so she managed to join us for a bit. This is really what eventing is all about, and it's great to enjoy it together.
Maybee is a new ride for me. He's been very nicely produced by Matt Ryan and Tweseldown was our first run together.
