A win at Broadway to finish the season
It’s always nice to finish the season on a good note so we were happy with a win and two seconds! With Larkhill being cancelled this year we had our first trip to Broadway and would highly recommend it. It is a beautiful spot in the North Cotswolds with a good course and a lovely atmosphere.
The Stourton’s Brackenspa Bramble was competing in the novice and did her best test of the season before jumping a super double clear to win her section. She had the cross country course to herself as the last combination of the day so there was a lot of anticipation from an enthusiastic commentary team about whether she would make the time, which was very tight due to the hilly course.
The two five year olds, Red Kite and Gideon, both finished their seasons with confident performances in the Novice, both running steadily to finish in the top ten.
Tim Rogers had a great end to a very successful and competitive season finishing second on both Bloomfield Bantry in the BE100 and Shannondale Mel in the Open Novice. Tim has had a very impressive run of results in the past few weeks, with two 2nd placings at Calmsden with Russel Jacket and Bloomfield Bantry as well as his two 2nd placings here.
