Dauntsey Park Horse Trials

Three out of five of our horses lead their sections after the dressage at Dauntsey and and all jumped lovely clear rounds across country. Away Cruising felt brilliant and did a lovely test scoring 23 which put him in the lead by four points, so it was a shame that having jumped clear rounds at every other event this season he rolled two poles in the show jumping! Tall Story did a lovely dressage test scoring 26 in the Intermediate Novice and went on to finish third, and Limmerick Lancer jumped well to finish =2nd in the BE100. Zebedee did his first Intermediate Novice and we were really pleased with the way he went and it was good to get A Modern Duchess out finally, after so many of her events have been cancelled.
The Sturgis family and the team at Dauntsey did a brilliant job to ensure the event ran, despite the torrential rain the previous week and it was a great event all round.
